This year’s “For the birds” would not be possible without you. Guests, auction donors, sponsors and volunteers - we have come together to help, celebrate and have a wonderful time. We would like to give everyone a heartfelt thank you for being so generous towards Le Nichoir. We received many wonderful gifts and sponsorships for the auction this evening. We are also sincerely touched by the energy and level of support you have given us.
We would like to especially thank Nathalie Zinger, Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Regional Vice-President Quebec Region for being our Honorary Guest and for speaking tonight. Special thanks also to the best auctioneers, Michael Lawrence, Fraser Lawrence and Tania Ellerbeck and our fabulous Master of Ceremonies, Peter McAuslan.

- We receive more than 1 300 birds annually
- The birds eat more than 36 000 meal worms per week
- Many birds need special care, surgery, medication and laboratory tests
- We use 20 litres of bleach per week for disinfection
- We receive over 5 000 calls each summer
- Our staff needs annual training within the rehabilitation community
